Upstairs is just 2 beds and 2 baths, but downstairs is 2,100 sq ft of garage and shop, containing:

- two lifts

- ducktail 911

- ‘68 Skylark

- Nova

- two racecars he works on with his son

I’m not saying I’m jealous of the lower level, but I’m not NOT saying it either.

If I were to build a house I’d do something similar. (Apart from the outside appearance, that’s not my cup of tea.) Maybe something like 100 sq m x2 with upstairs patio doubling as downstairs carport on top of that.

Yeah I can see the ones on the left look bigger, I’m just saying the front  wall looks way too empty. Even if they wanted more privacy there, bigger windows that matched the garage doors might have been interesting.

Love the idea of a building a passive home, with a square footprint, garage (at least 4-car) down, with living up. But aging and stairs don’t mix.
